Frequently Asked Questions

Our abrasives and grinding‑media product range includes steel shot, steel grit, steel cut wire shot, solid steel ball, grinding ball, forged grinding ball and cast grinding ball. These products are widely used for shot blasting, metal surface descaling, paint removal, shot peening, mining ore grinding and cement‑plant grinding operations. Custom hardness and particle‑size grading can be supported according to customer requirements.

Steel shot grain size: S‑70 to S‑780. Steel grit grain size: G‑12 to G‑120. Steel cut wire shot: 0.2 mm‑3.0 mm. Solid steel ball: 2 mm‑120 mm. Forged & cast grinding ball: diameter 20 mm‑150 mm. Different size fractions can be screened and packed as per project technical specifications.

Our steel shot, steel grit and cut wire shot follow SAE J441, SAE J827 and ISO 11124 standards. Forged and cast grinding balls refer to ISO 683‑17 as well as global mining‑industry accepted specifications. We can match hardness grade, chemical composition and size grading to meet your local project standards.

Steel shot features spherical shape, mainly used for surface cleaning, descaling and shot peening to form uniform compressive stress. Angular steel grit delivers strong cutting power, ideal for removing heavy rust, old coating and creating rough surface profile for painting adhesion. Steel cut wire shot owns high toughness, low breakage rate, suitable for heavy‑duty continuous blasting cycles. Please provide your target surface roughness and working equipment parameters for precise recommendation.

Cast grinding ball contains high‑chromium alloy material, possesses high hardness, good wear resistance, suitable for fine grinding. Forged grinding ball has dense internal structure, low breakage rate, stable mechanical performance, widely applied for large‑scale coarse ore grinding. Working condition such as ball mill type, ore hardness shall be considered during product selection.

We test chemical composition, hardness, grain‑size distribution, toughness and breakage rate. For blasting abrasives, particle‑shape classification test is available. For grinding balls, impact‑resistance test and wear‑rate test can be performed. Mill test certificates are supplied for each batch. Third‑party inspection can be arranged before shipment upon buyer’s request.

Standard‑size stock goods support lower MOQ. Custom‑screened special‑size fractions or special‑hardness‑grade products require higher minimum order quantity and longer production lead‑time. Clear particle‑size range, hardness requirement and application conditions need to be provided for accurate quotation.

Steel shot, grit and cut wire shot are normally packed in 25kg woven bags or 1000kg big‑bags. Large‑weight forged and cast grinding balls adopt 1000kg jumbo bags. All packages fit sea‑freight container loading. Special packaging requirements such as iron drums can be arranged according to customer demands.
