Product Overview
20#, 45#, ASTM A106 Grade B and ASTM A53 Grade B carbon steel seamless pipe represents the most widely used general-purpose seamless tubular system for industrial fluid transport and engineering structures. These products are manufactured by hot rolling piercing, cold drawing and cold finishing processes, forming a uniform tubular body without longitudinal weld seams. Compared with welded pipe, seamless pipe offers more consistent material structure, higher burst pressure resistance and better stability under fluctuating operating conditions.
20# and ASTM A106 Grade B are typical medium-carbon grades for pressure fluid service. They feature good strength, ductility and weldability, and are suitable for water, oil, gas and process fluid pipelines. 45# is a higher-strength medium-carbon grade with higher hardness and wear resistance, often used for mechanical structures, hydraulic cylinders and high-load components. ASTM A53 Grade B provides a strong general structural option for pipe piling, building structures and low-to-medium pressure piping.
This grade group is applicable to a wide range of industrial projects, including oil and gas gathering lines, refinery process piping, boiler feed water pipes, heat exchanger tubes, pump stations, machinery frames and foundation piling.
