Product Overview
Annealed Steel Wire is a soft, non-galvanized low-carbon steel wire manufactured from Q195, Q235, SAE1006 and SAE1008 raw materials and processed through controlled annealing treatment. It is designed for applications requiring good softness, ductility and bending performance rather than zinc-coated corrosion protection.
The wire is available in a 0.4–6.0 mm metric diameter range and corresponds to British SWG 0#–22#. Three annealing grades—Light Annealed, Full Annealed and Extra Soft Annealed—allow buyers to select different levels of softness and flexibility according to the intended application.
Two surface options are available: black annealed with the original oxide finish and bright annealed with acid pickling for a cleaner surface. Both are non-galvanized, making the product suitable where zinc coating is not required.
Annealed Steel Wire can be supplied in coils, spools or customized cut-to-length forms. It is used for construction tying, packaging and bundling, handicrafts, wire mesh production, seedling tying and temporary site fencing.

FAQs
Annealed Steel Wire is a non-galvanized soft low-carbon steel wire processed through controlled annealing treatment to improve softness and ductility. The listed raw materials are Q195, Q235, SAE1006 and SAE1008.
The metric diameter range is 0.4–6.0 mm, with British SWG 0#–22# specifications available.
Light Annealed is suitable for general tying and packaging, Full Annealed is suitable for construction binding and wire-net weaving where repeated bending is required, while Extra Soft Annealed is intended for manual bending, handicrafts and small-scale manual tying.
No. The supplied product information specifies that both black annealed and bright pickled surface options are non-galvanized. If zinc-coated corrosion protection is required, a galvanized wire product should be selected instead.
Yes. The product can be supplied in coils, spools or pre-cut straight wire. Coil weights range from 1 kg to 1000 kg, pre-cut lengths from 10 cm to 6 m, and spool inner diameters from 200 mm to 600 mm.
