Product Overview

API Oil/Casing Pipe is a core Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) product specially designed for onshore and offshore oil, gas, geothermal and shale gas well operations. It is mainly used as casing to support wellbore walls during drilling and completion, and as tubing to transport produced oil and gas from downhole to surface. All products are manufactured and inspected in strict accordance with API Spec 5CT, API Spec 5B and ISO 11960 international standards.

The product covers a complete steel grade system to adapt to different well depth, pressure and corrosion conditions. General-purpose grades H40, J55 and K55 are suitable for shallow to medium depth conventional wells; high-strength grades N80, L80, C90, T95 and P110 are designed for medium-deep high-pressure wells and fracturing operations; ultra-high strength grades Q125 and V150 are for ultra-deep wells and high-stress fracturing environments; corrosion-resistant alloy grades L80-9Cr and L80-13Cr are specially used for acid gas and high corrosive downhole conditions.

The pipe supports multiple thread connection solutions: standard threads including BTC buttress thread, LC long thread coupling, SC short thread coupling and LTC long round thread, as well as VAM premium special connections for high-sealing and high-pressure demanding environments. Standard lengths are available in R1 (4.88m), R2 (7.32m) and R3 (10.36m) to match different well depth designs, and custom fixed lengths can also be provided according to project drawings.

This OCTG pipe is widely used in onshore oilfields, offshore drilling platforms, shale gas extraction, coal-bed methane wells, geothermal projects, hydraulic fracturing operations and oil-gas gathering systems.

How do I choose the right steel grade for my well project?
