Product Overview

Large diameter heavy wall carbon steel welded pipe is a heavy-section tubular product manufactured by either spiral submerged-arc welding or longitudinal submerged-arc welding. Compared with small and medium diameter welded pipe, it has thicker wall, higher rigidity, stronger buckling resistance and better performance under heavy structural load or high internal pressure.

SSAW large diameter heavy wall pipe is more suitable for very large diameter requirements, especially for municipal water conveyance, sewage pipes, penstocks, bridge piling and cofferdam structures. LSAW heavy wall pipe is made by heavy steel plate bending and double-sided submerged-arc welding, providing straighter weld seam, better roundness and more stable mechanical properties for critical heavy engineering projects.

This product group covers structural grades Q235B, Q355B and line pipe grades L245, L290, L360, L415, X42, X52, X60, X65, X70, X80. It is widely used in large-diameter water supply pipelines, sewage treatment networks, hydroelectric penstocks, bridge pile foundations, offshore platform foundation piles, industrial heavy ducts and pressure pipe components.
