Product Overview
N80 and L80 are standard high-strength grades for oil production tubing in API 5CT system, mainly used as production tubing to transport produced oil and gas from downhole reservoir to surface. They have excellent comprehensive mechanical properties, can bear downhole pressure, tensile load and fluid erosion, and are suitable for medium-deep production wells and conventional well completion operations.
N80 grade is divided into N80-1 (normalized) and N80-Q (quenched & tempered) two delivery states; L80 grade is quenched and tempered heat treated, with better toughness and uniform structure. Both are manufactured by seamless hot rolling + cold finishing process, produced in strict accordance with API Spec 5CT and ISO 11960 standards. Common tubing outer diameters include 1.05″, 1.315″, 1.66″, 1.9″, 2-3/8″, 2-7/8″, 3-1/2″. Thread forms include EUE (external upset ends) and NUE (non-upset ends) to match different wellhead connections. Standard lengths are R1 (6.10m) and R2 (9.14m), and custom lengths are available.
N80 / L80 API production tubing is widely used in onshore and offshore production wells, gas lift wells, water injection wells and well completion projects.

L80 has stricter carbon equivalent control and quenched & tempered heat treatment, with better toughness and SSC (sulfide stress cracking) resistance margin. N80 is more economical for conventional sweet wells.
Yes. N80 tubing is suitable for water injection and gas injection wells under conventional conditions. For corrosive injection media, corrosion-resistant grades are recommended.

The standard lengths for API tubing are R1 (range 1, approx. 6.10m) and R2 (range 2, approx. 9.14m). Custom lengths are available upon request.
