Product Overview
Our SA516 Gr.70 (HIC) and SA387 Gr.22 Cl.2 HIC resistant pressure vessel steel plates are specially designed anti-hydrogen induced cracking steel grades for sour service working conditions. This series steel is widely applied in petroleum, natural gas and acidic marine engineering equipment.
SA516 Gr.70 (HIC) is modified carbon steel plate based on standard SA516 Gr.70. By strictly limiting S & P content and optimizing microstructure, it can resist hydrogen blistering and hydrogen induced cracking in wet H₂S environment, which is widely used for sour pressure vessels and oil storage tanks. SA387 Gr.22 Cl.2 is Cr-Mo alloy HIC resistant steel plate, features high temperature strength and good HIC resistance, suitable for high temperature and acidic petrochemical reactors and heat exchangers.
All plates can pass HIC and SSC test as required. We supply multiple sizes, support flame cutting, plasma cutting and edge beveling. Every batch is supplied with Mill Test Certificate including HIC test results, ultrasonic inspection and Charpy impact test reports on request. Typical applications include petrochemical processing equipment, sour service vessels, acidic operation ships, oil & gas separation devices and other pressure components exposed to wet hydrogen sulfide medium.
