Product Overview

201 Stainless Steel Flat Bar (SUS201 / 1Cr17Mn6Ni5N / 1.4372) is a manganese-nickel austenitic stainless steel flat bar manufactured per GB/T1220 standard. It is a low-nickel grade stainless flat bar developed as an economical substitute for 304 stainless steel.

The product features solid rectangular profile, width range 10–250mm, thickness 2–40mm. Available surface finishes include 2B hot rolled pickled finish, HL hairline brushed finish and mirror polishing.

SUS201 flat bar can be processed by cutting, bending, punching and welding. It is widely applied in indoor architectural decoration, cabinet frames, kitchen utensils, indoor brackets and low-corrosion industrial components. It is NOT recommended for outdoor or chloride-rich corrosive environments.

201 is low nickel, cost-saving grade with manganese replacement for nickel. Its corrosion resistance is weaker than 304. 201 is suitable for indoor dry environment; 304 is preferred for outdoor or humid working conditions.
