Product Overview
2205, 2507 Hot Rolled Duplex Stainless Steel Plate is a series of high-strength duplex stainless steel designed for aggressive chloride and corrosive environments. Manufactured according to ASTM A240, GB/T4237 and EN 10088 standards, these grades are widely used in seawater equipment, desalination plants, petrochemical industry, marine engineering, pressure vessels and heat exchangers.
2205 is the standard duplex grade, containing approximately 22% chromium, 5% nickel and 3% molybdenum. It offers a good balance of high yield strength, general corrosion resistance and chloride stress corrosion cracking resistance, suitable for moderately severe industrial environments.
2507 is a super duplex stainless steel with higher chromium, nickel and molybdenum content. It provides superior pitting and crevice corrosion resistance, higher mechanical strength and better performance in harsh chloride and acidic media compared with 2205.
Our duplex stainless plate is available in thickness from 3.0mm to 100mm, standard widths of 1500mm, 1800mm, 2000mm and 2500mm, and standard lengths of 6000mm and 12000mm. Custom fixed-length cutting is supported. The No.1 hot rolled pickled surface is suitable for heavy industrial applications. All products are supplied with Mill Test Certificate, and third-party inspection such as SGS or BV is acceptable.

FAQs
Duplex stainless steel plate is a high-strength stainless steel with mixed ferrite-austenite microstructure, offering both good corrosion resistance and high mechanical strength.
2205 is the standard duplex grade for general chloride corrosion environments. 2507 is super duplex steel with higher Cr, Ni and Mo content, providing better pitting and crevice corrosion resistance.
In chloride and stress corrosion environments, 2205 generally performs better than 316L due to higher strength and improved corrosion resistance.
Yes, but it requires controlled welding procedure and appropriate filler material to preserve the balanced dual-phase microstructure.
MOQ is 5 tons. In-stock goods can be delivered within 3–7 days; customized production usually takes 10–25 days.
We supply Mill Test Certificate EN 10204 3.1/3.2, ISO, SGS and BV inspection certificates.
