Product Overview
304, 304L and 316L Hot Rolled Austenitic Stainless Steel Plate are No.1 pickled hot rolled heavy gauge stainless steel, manufactured according to ASTM A240, GB/T4237 and EN10088 standards.
304 is the most widely used austenitic stainless steel with balanced chromium and nickel content, offering reliable rust resistance for general industrial applications. 304L is low-carbon variant of 304, designed to prevent weld decay for heavy welded structures. 316L adds molybdenum element, greatly improving resistance to chloride corrosion, suitable for seawater, brine and acidic medium service.
Our 304 /304L /316L hot rolled stainless plate ranges from 3.0mm to 100mm thickness, standard width 1500/1800/2000/2500mm, standard length 6000mm and 12000mm, customized cut-to-length service is supported. The plate features good ductility, bending and forming performance, widely used in petrochemical equipment, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, seawater desalination plants, food processing machinery and marine auxiliary structures. All products come with 3.1/3.2 mill test certificate, and third-party inspection like SGS, BV is acceptable.

304L is low-carbon version of 304. Lower carbon reduces intergranular corrosion risk after welding. 304 is enough for non-heavy welding projects, while 304L is preferred for heavy welded structures.
316L contains molybdenum element, it performs much better under chloride environment such as seawater, salt water and chloride acid medium.
