Product Overview
C Channel is an American standard hot-rolled structural channel steel designed for North American engineering projects. Featuring a tapered inner flange design, American C Channel is different from European UPN U Channel and follows specific ASTM structural requirements. It is widely used for industrial structures, machinery frames, warehouse systems, municipal engineering and new-energy supporting structures.
Manufactured according to ASTM A6/A6M-22 and ASTM A36-22 standards, American C Channel provides a complete size range from lightweight to heavy-duty structural applications. Available sizes include C3×4.1, C4×5.4, C5×6.7, C6×10.5, C8×8.2, C8×11.5, C8×13.75, C10×15.3, C10×20, C12×20.7, C12×25, C15×33.9, C18×40.8 and C20×50.
The material grades include A36, A572 Gr50, A572 Gr60, A588 and A992, meeting different strength requirements, weather-resistant applications and heavy-load structural conditions. Standard mill lengths are 6m, 9m and 12m, while customized lengths from 3m to 18m and cut-to-length services are available.
C Channel supports multiple surface treatments including hot-rolled black finish, shot blasting, pickling, anti-corrosive coating, hot-dip galvanizing and fire-retardant coating. Additional fabrication services include cutting, drilling, end beveling, welding and component assembly according to customer drawings, making it suitable for structural fabrication and project-based procurement.
