Product Overview
HB400 is a widely used European standard quenched and tempered abrasion resistant steel plate, designed for medium-level friction and impact working conditions. Manufactured in compliance with EN 10200 industrial standards, HB400 steel plate features uniform Brinell hardness and stable mechanical properties, solving the abrasion failure problem of industrial equipment under conventional wear environments.
Different from ultra-high hardness wear-resistant grades, HB400 maintains a perfect balance between wear resistance and processing performance. It not only provides reliable anti-abrasion capability for daily industrial operation, but also supports bending, cutting, drilling and welding fabrication without cracking risks. This grade is the cost-effective choice for general wear-resistant structural parts.
Our HB400 wear resistant steel plate covers complete thickness and width specifications, supporting custom cut-to-size and deep processing. Each batch is equipped with official mill test certificate with full chemical and mechanical data. Third-party inspection is acceptable. Widely applied in material handling equipment, industrial chutes, conveyor liners, machinery guard plates and general mining auxiliary wear parts for global engineering projects.

FAQs
HB400 complies with European EN10200 standard, with more stable hardness tolerance and better processing consistency. It is more suitable for European standard engineering bidding and export projects, with higher cost performance than imported Hardox grades.
Yes. HB400 has excellent machinability among 400HB grade wear plates. It supports conventional plasma/laser cutting and cold bending, with low cracking risk during secondary fabrication.
For most medium wear working conditions, HB400 can perfectly replace Hardox 400 with lower cost. For ultra-high standard offshore or extreme precision projects, we suggest checking design specifications first.
We provide complete EN10204 3.1 MTC, commercial invoice, packing list and bill of lading. SGS/BV third-party inspection reports can also be arranged to meet European import customs requirements.
Yes. Mixed loading with NM series, AR series and Hardox series wear plates is supported, which effectively reduces your overall procurement and shipping costs.
HB400 abrasion resistance is 8-10 times that of ordinary carbon steel, which can greatly reduce equipment replacement frequency and maintenance cost for industrial and mining enterprises.
