Product Overview
PC Strand is a high-carbon prestressed reinforcement material manufactured from 82B high-carbon steel wire rod for modern infrastructure construction. It is widely used in bridge engineering, high-speed rail transit, large public buildings, water conservancy facilities, geotechnical anchoring and marine engineering. The product is manufactured according to GB/T 5224-2014, EN 10138, ASTM A416/A416M, JIS G3536 and ISO 6934.
The product range covers international common structures including 1×2, 1×3, 1×7 and 1×19, with 1×7 as the mainstream structure. Standard nominal diameters include Φ9.53 mm, Φ12.7 mm, Φ15.2 mm, Φ15.7 mm and Φ17.8 mm. The raw material is 82B high-carbon steel wire rod, with tensile strength grades of 1720 MPa, 1860 MPa, 1960 MPa, 2000 MPa and 2160 MPa.
Two relaxation grades are available: NR Normal Relaxation for lower-demand and smaller prestressed civil members, and LR Low Relaxation for demanding infrastructure such as high-speed rail, long-span bridges and large-scale prestressed engineering. The supplied material identifies LR as the main grade for major infrastructure procurement.
PC Strand is available in bare, hot-dip galvanized, epoxy powder full-coated and zinc-aluminum composite coated variants. Surface protection can range from anti-rust lubricant oil for bare strand to heavy-duty corrosion-resistant coatings for coastal and high-corrosion bridge applications. Seamless whole-piece coils are supplied in standard lengths of 2000 m, 3000 m and 5000 m per reel, with no intermediate joints.
