Product Overview

T1 Tin Free Steel Coil (TFS/TMBP / ECCS) is low-carbon cold rolled steel substrate with electrolytic chromium coating, including metallic chromium layer and chromium hydrated oxide layer. T1 is the softest temper grade in TFS series, featuring great ductility and formability. It can be supplied in TFS-S single side or TFS-D double side chromium coating. Thickness range 0.15–0.45mm, standard coil width 800–1050mm, custom slitting service available. Widely used for crown caps, easy open ends, cosmetic packaging, twist-off food caps and printed metal boxes.

T1 TFS is the soft temper grade, ideal for deep drawing applications such as bottle crown caps, cosmetic metal boxes and easy-open ends.

Can T1 TFS be welded for hermetic food cans?

No. TFS (ECCS) is not designed for hermetic sealed welding. Use ETP tinplate if welding is required.
