Product Overview
Tin Free Steel Coil – TFS/TMBP, also known as ECCS (Electrolytic Chromium Coated Steel), is a low-carbon cold-rolled steel substrate treated with electrolytic chromium rather than tin plating. Its surface consists of a metallic chromium layer and a chromium-hydrated-oxide layer, providing strong adhesion for paints, lacquers and printing inks.
The product is available in TFS-S single-sided and TFS-D double-sided chromium-coated configurations, with temper grades from T1 to T5 and DR7 to DR10. These options support different stamping and forming requirements for metal packaging production.
With a thickness range of 0.15–0.45 mm and standard coil widths of 800–1050 mm, TFS/TMBP can also be supplied with custom narrow-width slitting. It is used for crown caps, easy-open ends, cosmetic packaging, battery shells, printed metal boxes, paint and ink pail lids, and food twist-off caps.
