Non‑Ferrous Metal (Cu / Al / Pb)
This production workflow covers copper plate, brass plate, copper coil & strip, brass coil & strip, copper tube, brass tube, copper bar, brass bar, copper grounding rod; aluminum plate, aluminum coil & strip, aluminum tube, aluminum bar, aluminum foil; as well as lead plate, lead coil and lead foil. Using electrolytic copper, aluminum ingot and lead ingot as raw feedstock, these non‑ferrous metal products are manufactured via melting, casting, hot rolling, cold rolling, extrusion and finishing treatments. Featuring good electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance, they are widely used in electrical engineering, construction, chemical anti‑corrosion, grounding system, battery and industrial manufacturing for global projects.
1. Raw Material Ingot Preparation
High‑purity electrolytic copper ingots, brass alloy ingots, primary aluminum ingots and lead ingots are selected as base materials. Strict chemical composition inspection is carried out to meet grade requirements for copper‑alloy, aluminum and lead finished goods, including plate, coil, tube, bar and foil products.
2. Melting & Casting
Raw ingots are melted in dedicated furnaces. Alloy elements are proportionally added for brass and customized alloy grades. Molten metal is cast into slabs, billets or ingot blanks, providing qualified semi‑finished blanks for subsequent rolling and extrusion.
3. Hot Working: Hot Rolling / Extrusion
Copper and brass blanks go through hot rolling to produce hot‑rolled plate and mother coil; hollow billets are extruded to form copper tube and brass tube; solid blanks are extruded into copper bar, brass bar and copper grounding rod. Aluminum ingots are hot‑rolled into aluminum plate and aluminum mother coil, and extruded for aluminum tube and aluminum bar. Lead ingots are hot‑rolled preliminarily for lead plate and lead coil.
4. Cold Rolling & Precision Reduction
Hot‑rolled mother blanks are sent to cold rolling mills for multi‑pass thickness reduction. This process produces copper coil & strip, brass coil & strip, aluminum coil & strip, and further rolls material down to ultra‑thin gauge for aluminum foil and lead foil. Tight dimensional tolerance and smooth surface are achieved for various sheet and coil products.
5. Intermediate Annealing Treatment
Work‑hardened copper, brass, aluminum and lead workpieces undergo intermediate annealing. Internal processing stress is eliminated, and material ductility is restored, supporting further deep rolling, bending and machining operations.
6. Tube & Bar Finishing Drawing
For copper tube, brass tube and aluminum tube, cold drawing is applied to calibrate outer diameter and wall thickness. Copper bar, brass bar and copper grounding rod are subjected to precision drawing and straightening to guarantee straightness and size accuracy.
7. Cutting, Slitting & Foil Finishing
According to customer specifications, non‑ferrous metal materials are processed into finished sizes: plate products are sheared to custom length; coils are slit into narrow strips; ultra‑thin material is finished into aluminum foil and lead foil. Copper grounding rods are cut and processed for grounding installation requirements.
8. Surface Treatment
Different surface treatments are performed for different materials. Copper and brass items can be pickled, passivated or bright finished. Aluminum products are available with mill finish, anodizing or anti‑corrosion coating. Lead products are cleaned for anti‑corrosion application scenarios.
9. Full Inspection & Packaging
Finished products are inspected for dimension, surface condition, chemical composition and mechanical performance. Conductivity test is implemented for copper‑based electrical materials. Qualified copper / brass, aluminum and lead products including plate, coil, strip, tube, bar, foil and grounding rod are marked and packaged for global delivery.
