Product Overview
Forged Ball is high-performance hot-forged grinding media designed for heavy-duty grinding applications. The product is manufactured through high-temperature forging, integral quenching and low-temperature tempering, creating a stable metallographic structure and strong resistance to impact and spalling. It is available in diameters from 30 mm to 150 mm, with 40, 60, 80, 100 and 120 mm as mainstream sizes.
The material range includes 45#, 60Mn, 65Mn and 70Mn under Chinese standards, together with Ct45, Ct60, Ct65 and Ct70 under Russian standards. Two major product series are available: the European-standard FB series, including FB30, FB40, FB60, FB80, FB100, FB120 and FB150, and the Russian GOST KШ series, including KШ-C ordinary carbon steel forged balls and KШ-I alloy wear-resistant forged balls.
Three performance grades are available for different grinding conditions. Grade 1 Standard Forged Ball provides HRC48-55 hardness for medium-impact small and medium ball mills; Grade 2 High Toughness Forged Ball provides HRC55-62 for large SAG mills and high-hardness ore; and Grade 3 Ultra Tough Alloy Forged Ball reaches HRC62-68 with Cr-Mo alloy elements for ultra-hard iron ore and highly abrasive mining environments.
Compared with cast grinding balls, forged balls offer a lower fragmentation rate and strong crack resistance, making them suitable for large SAG mills and ball mills processing iron ore, gold ore, nickel ore and other hard ores. They are also used in non-ferrous metallurgy, large cement plants, aggregate sand factories, thermal-power desulfurization and coal-chemical powder processing. Products are supplied in 1-ton jumbo bags, with bulk truck delivery supported, and each batch can be supplied with test reports covering chemical composition, hardness and mechanical properties.

FAQs
A forged grinding ball is grinding media produced through high-temperature forging followed by integral quenching and low-temperature tempering. It is designed for heavy-duty grinding applications.
The diameter range is 30-150 mm, with 40, 60, 80, 100 and 120 mm identified as mainstream sizes.
Available materials include 45#, 60Mn, 65Mn and 70Mn, as well as Russian Ct45, Ct60, Ct65 and Ct70 grades.
Three main performance grades are available: - Grade 1: HRC48-55 - Grade 2: HRC55-62 - Grade 3: HRC62-68
Grade 2 High Toughness Forged Ball is positioned for large SAG mills and high-hardness ore processing. Grade 3 is intended for ultra-hard and heavily abrasive mining conditions.
