Product Overview
Galvalume Steel Coil – GL, also known as Aluzinc Steel Coil, is produced by hot-dipping a cold-rolled carbon steel substrate into a molten 55% aluminum, 43.4% zinc and 1.6% silicon alloy coating. The coating combines the high-temperature resistance of aluminum with the sacrificial anti-rust protection of zinc, providing enhanced corrosion resistance compared with conventional galvanized GI coil.
The product is available in DX51D+AZ to DX56D+AZ grades for different forming requirements, together with Q235+AZ and Q355+AZ for structural applications. Thickness ranges from 0.18–2.5mm, with 0.2–1.5mm as the mainstream range, and standard widths include 914, 1000, 1219 and 1250mm.
With AZ50–AZ200 g/m² coating weights and options including passivation, chromium-free passivation, oil-based anti-rust and anti-fingerprint AF treatment, GL coil can be configured for different fabrication and environmental requirements. Slitting and cut-to-length processing are also available.
Typical applications include roofing and wall panels, photovoltaic bracket back plates, outdoor electrical cabinet housings, chemical plant cladding, container panels, grain silo roofs and solar water heater casings, particularly where enhanced corrosion resistance is required.
