Product Overview
GB/T 712 / ASTM A131 shipbuilding steel plate covers a complete range of marine structural steels used in vessel hulls, decks, bulkheads, offshore platform modules and marine engineering equipment. This product series includes normal strength grades Grade A, B, D, E and high strength grades AH32, DH32, EH32, FH32, AH36, DH36, EH36, FH36, AH40, DH40, EH40, FH40.
Under the GB/T 712 / ASTM A131 system, each grade is designed with specified yield strength, tensile strength and Charpy V-notch impact properties. Normal strength grades are generally used for secondary hull structures and ship compartments, while high strength grades are selected for main hull members, heavy load parts and critical offshore structures. The grades with lower impact test temperatures are suitable for vessels operating in cold sea areas.
Our GB/T 712 / ASTM A131 marine steel plates are produced under strict material control. They provide stable mechanical properties, good weldability and reliable structural safety. We can supply plates in different thicknesses, widths and lengths, and support custom cutting, flattening, edge trimming and shot blasting services.
