Product Overview

Grade A/B/D/E hot rolled shipbuilding steel plate is normal strength marine structural steel manufactured to GB/T712 and ASTM A131 standards. This series includes Grade A, Grade B, Grade D and Grade E with graded low-temperature impact performance to adapt to different ocean service environments.

Grade A has no impact test requirement; Grade B features 27J impact at 0°C; Grade D reaches 27J at -20°C, while Grade E can maintain 27J charpy toughness under -40°C extreme cold marine conditions. The steel plate owns reliable mechanical property, good weldability and stable forming performance, widely used for ship compartments, hull auxiliary structures, barges and general offshore secondary structures.

We provide custom cutting, flattening and surface treatment service. All plates can be supplied with CCS, ABS, DNV, BV, LR ship classification certificates upon request. We support bulk orders and mixed container shipment, serving global shipyards, marine engineering contractors and steel traders.

FAQs

Yes. CCS, ABS, DNV, BV, LR certificates can be issued upon your request before shipment. All certificates will match the material MTC for shipyard inspection.

It depends on the working temperature of your marine project. We can recommend the proper grade according to your design specification and sea area environment.

Absolutely. Your appointed surveyor can inspect dimension, surface quality and verify material documents. Witness inspection is widely supported for shipbuilding orders.

Standard sizes with certificates take 18–28 working days. We will confirm the exact schedule once we receive your formal inquiry with required certification requirements.

Plates will be bundled by steel strips, with waterproof wrapping. We can apply anti-rust primer optionally to avoid rust during long ocean transit.
