Product Overview

PE, SMP, HDP and PVDF prepainted steel sheet (PPGI & PPGL) are color coated metal products with different organic coating systems on hot-dip galvanized or galvalume steel substrates. Each coating grade has unique weather resistance, color retention and service life to satisfy diverse global construction and industrial projects.

PE (Polyester) is the economical option with good flexibility and wide color selection, widely adopted for normal inland roofing and wall cladding. SMP (Silicone Modified Polyester) delivers better heat resistance and gloss retention than standard PE, suitable for buildings exposed to strong sunlight. HDP (High Durable Polyester) offers upgraded anti-UV and anti-fading performance, designed for medium-long warranty commercial facades. PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride / Fluorocarbon) owns top-tier weather & salt spray resistance, ideal for coastal, high-corrosion and premium architectural projects, with long-term color stability over 20 years.

We provide customized thickness, width, zinc/aluminum-zinc coating weight, top & back paint thickness. Surface finishes include smooth, matte, wrinkle, wood grain and marble texture. All products can pass third-party inspection, comply with EN, ASTM, JIS standards. Widely used for roof panels, wall cladding, prefabricated houses, warehouse, curtain wall, agricultural buildings and home appliance shells. Export packing with waterproof paper & steel strapping to protect sheets during sea shipment.

You can choose based on local climate, project warranty and budget. PE for normal inland low-budget jobs; SMP for sunny inland areas; HDP for commercial facades; PVDF for coastal & high-corrosion environments. Share your project location, we can give professional recommendation.

What is the MOQ if I mix different coating grades in one container?

Standard MOQ for each coating grade is 5 tons. Mixed grades in one 20ft/40ft container is acceptable, subject to our production schedule.

Can you provide paint sample swatches before mass production?

Yes, free A4 paint samples can be sent for your confirmation before production. For large orders, pre-production panel samples can also be arranged.

What is your production lead time for HDP and PVDF prepainted steel sheet?

Standard PE & SMP: 7–15 working days. HDP & PVDF require 15–25 working days due to strict coating baking and quality testing.

What kind of inspection can you support for PPGI / PPGL with these four coating grades?

We support SGS, BV or other third-party inspection at our factory. We can test coating thickness, adhesion, salt spray and color difference as your request.

Is there extra cost if I need special surface texture like wood grain for PVDF coating?

Yes. Special textures (wood grain, marble, wrinkle) will have extra production cost and slightly longer lead time, we will quote separately after receiving your detailed requirements.
