Product Overview
SS230, SS340 and SS550 high strength hot dipped galvanized steel sheets are structural GI steel widely adopted for load bearing components, manufactured under ASTM A653 standard. These structural grades are engineered to provide higher mechanical strength than regular forming galvanized sheet, allowing engineers to design lighter structures while maintaining sufficient load capacity.
SS230 is low structural strength grade for general light load framing. SS340 is medium high strength grade, balancing strength and formability for most building structural profiles. SS550 is ultra-high strength galvanized sheet, mainly used for heavy load support parts requiring high tensile property. Continuous hot dip galvanizing process is applied, zinc coating options cover Z40 up to Z275 g/m². Surface options include regular spangle, minimal spangle and zero spangle.
Available thickness range from 0.3mm to 3.0mm, width 700–1500mm, can be supplied as cut flat sheets or galvanized coils. Typical applications include steel roof purlins, wall framing, solar mounting brackets, trailer components, racking systems, guardrail profiles and warehouse structural frames. Each shipment comes with mill test certificate. Third-party inspection is available upon request.

SS series prioritizes yield strength for load-bearing structures, while DX grades focus on deep drawing ductility. Choose SS series if your project needs structural load capacity.
SS550 has high strength with limited elongation, suitable for simple roll forming and gentle bending. Complex deep stamping is not recommended. We can advise bend radius according to your drawing.
Z275 is most popular for long-term outdoor anti-corrosion. For inland low-corrosion environment, Z180 / Z200 can help save procurement cost.
Yes, mixed loading of SS230, SS340 and SS550 with different sizes and zinc coatings is acceptable. We mark and pack separately for easy receiving.
We supply both galvanized coils and cut-to-length flat sheets. You can choose format according to your local processing line.
We supply MTC mill test certificate, packing list, commercial invoice. Third-party inspection by SGS or BV can be arranged before shipment if required.
